Alternative / Hard Rock / Progressive
Listen NowFalse Gravity isn't here to reinvent the wheel. They're here to remind you what it sounds like when it's done right.
Formed in 2025 in Tallahassee, Florida, False Gravity began as a pet project between lead vocalist David Rowe and drummer RA Schuring — two musicians bonded by a shared dissatisfaction with the state of modern rock and a determination to do something about it. What started in a practice space quickly outgrew it. The addition of Jon Nix on guitar gave the band its edge. Dylan Rodgers brought a second guitar and a wider sonic canvas. When Jonathan Davis locked in on bass, the lineup was complete — five members, each contributing a key element to every song, each piece essential to the whole.
The result is a sound that doesn't fit neatly into a single box. It's alternative. It's hard rock. It's progressive. It's a throwback to the late '90s and early 2000s — an era when rock bands didn't apologize for being loud, didn't shy away from a breakdown, and wrote riffs that lived in your head for days. False Gravity channels that era without living in it, filtering those influences through lyrics rooted in everyday life — relatable, honest, and unflinching.
Their approach is simple: less is more. But "less" doesn't mean thin. It means every note earns its place. Every riff has a reason. And when the songs hit their breaking points — the wicked breakdowns, the memorable bridges — they hit hard, because nothing was wasted getting there.
It's a professional, radio-friendly sound that a large percentage of today's artists simply aren't delivering. And people are noticing. The band has been touring across Florida, picking up steam with every show, turning rooms of strangers into rooms of believers.
False Gravity isn't asking for your attention. They're earning it — one riff, one breakdown, one show at a time.
